This training is designed  for persons who respond to spills. Individuals trained to the technician level respond to the incident to plug, patch, or otherwise stop the release of the hazardous substance. Training at this level includes: implementing the employers emergency response plan, hazard and risk assessment techniques, basic chemical/toxicology terminology, behavior selection and use of proper personal protective equipment/respirators, containment and confinement operations, and decontamination-termination procedures.
