Course Description

This course includes classroom training and workshop activities to educate participants on the importance of industrial hygiene in the workplace, techniques to improve industrial hygiene in the workplace, the regulatory requirements with which compliance is required, and best practices among industry. 

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course a student will be able to:

  1. Understand legal requirements such OSHA, CDC, NIOSH, ANSI, and related governing authorities.
  2. Identify types of health hazards in the workplace.
  3. Describe strategies to control chemical hazards.
  4. Describe strategies to control biological hazards.
  5. Describe strategies to control physical hazards.
